My product is designed to aid individuals with Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD) by leveraging the calming properties of textile textures. In today's world, mental health issues are increasingly prevalent, with anxiety disorders being among the most common. Through meticulous research, I have specifically targeted GAD, a pervasive type characterized by its spontaneous occurrence and lack of clear triggers. Based on these traits, I have developed wearable devices.

Utilizing the exploration of fabrics and textiles, I create textures from dyeable materials that can be applied to any garment surface, offering relief during moments of anxiety. We supply all the necessary materials for dyeing and application, along with instructions to help users personalize their experience. Furthermore, by incorporating art therapy techniques, my design not only enhances its therapeutic value but also empowers users to engage in the completion of the product themselves.

 

My hope is to provide a tool that enables people with GAD to manage their anxiety anytime and anywhere, while also encouraging them to bravely confront their emotions.
